We aim to blur the lines between bar staff, performance and public.

The majority of people working the bar turn the very act of serving into a performance.

When the music is not live it will be generated from behind the bar. There are decks, both analogue and digital and an array of percussion.

From Tuesday to Thursday we have 'Open DJ' sessions. We want to bring out the DJ in EVERYBODY. If you have a love of music you ARE already a DJ and we want to hear you.

Bring some of your favourite CD's or vinyl with you to the bar, we will give you a crash course in mixing and then give you a 20 minute slot to play the tunes of your choice, LOUD and PROUD.

If you love the experience you can work towards your own 2 hour slot on a Friday or Saturday.

The bar is run almost entirely by volunteers, with some paid hours available. If you want to get involved contact Aid at the Playhouse.

From October 13th our bar will be open every week between Tuesday and Thursday from 7pm until midnight and on Friday and Saturday from 7pm until 2am.

We stock an extensive range of quality beers and spirits - along with a whiskey shelf - or you could get yourself a cracking cup of coffee or a glass of wine. The choice is yours!
